Should we blame Erica? Laycon or Gordons?

 Drink responsibly, they say. Is that just a saying or should we practice it for real?

From Gordons to GoFundme... It's been an exciting week for Erica. 

So the BBnaija lockdown housemates of the 2020 season of the TV show set social media a-buzz last weekend. 

 I don't watch the show, but social media, blogs, friends and random individuals make it a point to tell me the ongoings in the house well enough. 🙄

A particular twist caught my attention tho. So we know of the housemates love triangle: Laycon likes Erica, she likes and follows Kidwaya about, but sometimes seek attention from the lovestruck Laycon. 

'All is well' in the triangle till Erica becomes head of house (a second time) and can't choose Kidwaya to be her deputy. Emotions run high and she takes out her misgivings on Prince (her deputy) by wetting his side of the bed and screaming at him like a diva that she is. 

She also finds out that Laycon has been discussing her with "Biggie" and goes off on him for a stretch of about 5 minutes, following him round the house and calling him unmentionable names. Laycon remains a "gentleman" through this rampage and doesn't respond, but Erica is disqualified (Though "Biggie" didn't say it was directly because if this).

Now, word on the street is not to blame the pretty Erica, as she was drunk and to blame Laycon cos he pushed her by repeatedly whining about her and turning everyone against her for scorning him, but who do we blame for the water on bed incident? 

Well, according to theconversation.com, experts say that you're still the same person after a drink and that you're to 'own' your drunken behavior. So even if Gordons wasn't involved, Erica could still have had her altercation with Laycon. 

However, having this knowledge, can we blame Erica's fans who made a record breaking donation of $15,000 for her in 5 hours, for 'encouraging' bad behavior? Or just see it as supporting their girl?

Who takes the blame ladies and gentlemen? 

She has since apologized to the housemates in an interview, after her disqualification. She also acknowledged that Kidwaya doesn't feel the same way about her as she feels about him. Ouch. But isn't that breaking every 'girl code' available by being with him in the house? 

You guys have told me parts of the story already, some say she let her eyes off the the prize. Your update will help us 'non-watchers' make more sense of this trendy jist. 😁
